That Colbert Nation website looks like a website from 1998. I love it. That's so clever!

Jon Stewart, Wife Expecting Second Child
Wednesday October 12 12:37 PM ET

Jon Stewart will be a father again this time to a daughter.

Stewart's wife, Tracey, is pregnant with the couple's second child, Tony Fox, a spokesman for Comedy Central, confirmed Wednesday. The baby, known to be a girl, is due in February.

"I don't know that much about women," Stewart, host of the "Daily Show," said of his concerns during a recent appearance on CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman."

"A girl, she's going to want me to have tea with her and her panda. Like, what am I going to do with that?" the 42-year-old comedian joked.

The couple's first child, Nathan Thomas, was born in July 2004. They have been married since 2000.

They're giving away the blue couch (used from 2003-2005) now!

Did anybody see Jon Stewart on Letterman last night? Jon's about 5'8 in real life, but on TV when he stands up, he looks 4'11.

"(points at coffee cup) Why don't I just go for a swim? Right in here! I'm not tiny, people! It's like I'm eighteen inches tall!"- Jon after Craig kept on making fun of how tiny he is. (1998)

GIVING IT TO YOU HARD, STRAIGHT AND NIGHTLY.
COMEDY CENTRAL’S® "THE COLBERT REPORT"
PREMIERES MONDAY, OCTOBER 17 AT 11:30 P.M. ET/PT

NEW YORK, October 5, 2005 -- The most compelling fake news hour in basic cable is about to commence. “The Colbert Report” hosted by Stephen Colbert, will debut on Monday, October 17 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT and will air Monday through Thursday following the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”
"The Colbert Report" will contain the personality, insight and overall rightness of "The Daily Show's" Stephen Colbert. That's why he now has a half-hour platform each night to give his take on the issues of the day and more importantly, to tell you why everyone else's take is just plain wrong. What "The Daily Show" is to evening news, "The Colbert Report" is to O'Reilly/Scarborough/Hannity/Anderson Cooper, et al…except Colbert's show will be intentionally funny.
“Bill O’Reilly’s got a real simplicity that I admire,” says Colbert. “I like the cut of Anderson Cooper’s suit and I’m a huge Stone Phillips fan, for his neck.”
The show will be shot live to tape, Monday through Thursday, with a featured guest and a studio audience. The opening theme music is by Cheap Trick.
Stephen Colbert is most notably known as the senior correspondent and Emmy Award-winning writer for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." He joined in 1997 and became the longest-running correspondent on "The Daily Show." Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Colbert began making a name for himself in Chicago as a member of the famed Second City improv troupe

where he met Amy Sedaris and Paul Dinello. He worked with the duo on numerous projects such as "Exit 57," a half-hour sketch comedy series, “Strangers with Candy,” a twisted take on the classic and typically moralistic after-school specials and wrote "Wigfield" in 2003 which they supported with book signings and performance engagements. He is also credited with the following: starred opposite Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman in “Bewitched,” wrote and was a cast member on “The Dana Carvey Show;” appeared in commercials for GM "Mr. Goodwrench," wrote for “Saturday Night Live" and did the voice of Ace on the animated “SNL” series "The Ambiguously Gay Duo" which also featured Steve Carell as the voice of Gary. In addition, Colbert contributed as a writer to AMERICA (THE BOOK): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction (Warner Books), which was co-written with Jon Stewart, Ben Karlin, along with the writers from "The Daily Show.” It immediately topped The New York Times Best Seller List and stayed there for 15 consecutive weeks.
"The Colbert Report" regularly airs Monday-Thursday at 11:30 p.m. Repeats air Monday-Thursday at 1:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday-Friday at 1:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The premiere week of "The Colbert Report" is sponsored by Toyota.
"The Colbert Report" is the first project developed under COMEDY CENTRAL’s first-look agreement with Jon Stewart's Busboy Productions, Inc. The show is produced by Busboy in association with Spartina Productions, Inc. Stewart, Ben Karlin and Colbert will serve as executive producers and Lou Wallach as executive in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.
COMEDY CENTRAL, the only all-comedy network, currently is seen in more than 87 million homes nationwide. COMEDY CENTRAL is owned by Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned division of MTV Networks. THE WHITE STRIPES TO APPEAR AND PERFORM ON
"THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART"
ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1 AT 11:00 P.M.

--------
The White Stripes Appearance Marks The First Time A Band Has Performed On
The Emmy And Peabody Award-Winning Series
--------

NEW YORK, October 5, 2005 -- The White Stripes and "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" are delighted to announce a rare musical performance on the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series on Thursday, December 1. This will be the first time a band has ever performed on "The Daily Show."
"We've never had a musical performance on the show before - not because we haven't wanted one - but because we were holding out for a reunited Spandau Ballet. This will have to suffice," said Jon Stewart.
"I can think of no better way to kick off December than by having The White Stripes perform on our show. I guess solving some sort of global crisis would also be a good way to kick off December," added the show's executive producer, Ben Karlin.
Jack and Meg White have just completed a triumphant 40 date US tour in support of their acclaimed new album Get Behind Me Satan, which wrapped-up Sunday with three sold out hometown shows at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre. Get Behind Me Satan, The White Stripes’ fifth album, was released in May of 2005, entering the Billboard Charts at # 3, the band’s highest chart position to date. Their current single “My Doorbell” has been ringing out from radios around the world for several weeks. The much-lauded “My Doorbell” video can be seen at HYPERLINK "http://www.whitestripes.com" www.whitestripes.com.

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" was launched in the summer of 1996. The nightly news satire takes a reality-based look at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports, entertainment and the media. In each show, Stewart and a team of correspondents, including Dan Bakkedahl, Stephen Colbert, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms and Samantha Bee, comment on the day's stories employing actual news footage, taped field pieces, in-studio guests and on-the-spot coverage of important news events.
