"I hate judges so much! Who are they to ... um..."

Yeah, I just had to reformat the entire computer so I could at least make screen captures and go online for the next couple of weeks until I get my new computer.

Oh! I timer recorded last night's show on the wrong tape, so I dubbed it on my Daily Show tape, and I got the tail end of the credits of (ugggh) Drawn Together, and I saw an ad for the Annual ThanXgiving day give away weekend, and Stephen Colbert is hosting it this year.

And if you get a chance next week (Thanksgiving) ESPN Classic is having a Cheap Seats marathon, maybe you'll catch the roller derby episode with Ed gueststarring in in.

Bob Wiltfong broke his nose recently. More details on his blog.

I won't be able to make screen captures for a while. My computers dying, and the win TV isin't working. I'm planning on buying a new computer Saturday, and hopefully I can find something to make screen captures with while I'm there. Does anyone here have an Apple? What do they use to make screen captures with?

From a live journal friend:

I'm not sure if you know this, but according to tv guide, Ed [Helms] is going to be on Arrested Development this Sunday, playing a "Realtor romancing Lindsay--or so she thinks." Just wanted to let you know, because whenever I see Ed, my brain automatically connects him to you.

Prelude To A Recount Added.

Yeah, I was hoping to get the caps up from the show around 11:30 last night, but I was having trouble getting the caps uploaded, and I was tired and I have a long day of work tomorrow, so I just got up a bit early and put them up this morning.

Best quote of the show? About two minutes into the program, when Stephen coblert said (something along the lines of):

"Vance DeGeneres, Nancy Walls and Mo Rocca are on their way to Flordia! They took the old pick up truck--but they took the backway?!"

(que stock footage of a toy truck going over a mountian)

I said to my self, "I wonder why Stephen didn't mention Carell?" Then we learned later on in the special why he didn't. Oh man! You know what would have been awesome? If the last few seconds of the special, Mo Rocca, Nancy Walls and Vance DeGeneres snuck up behind Jon on the stage, and revealed that they didn't perish in the pick up truck accident. Is this my first foray (and last) in Daily Show Fan Fiction?

Oh! and the part where Rob confessed that they all ate Frank Decaro and he was delicious. Nice how they do mention the old correspondents/contributors once in a while.

Shows how old my computer is. I still have this thing I snatched off of ComedyCentral.com four years ago, and put on my site to advertise the election night special.

In honor of tonight's special, let's take a look back at the (doomed) Choose And Lose Election Night Special from four years ago:

Ok, not the greatest look in the world, but back then I wasn't the best screen cap maker in the world (I'm still not).

I re-did the layout for the site last night, and for this blog, and for the screen capture page.

Oh, and I have an update on yesterday's entry about people not buying the America Book in the bookstores out where I live, I went into one today, and I noticed that they had about 12 copies left, and I saw a 12 year old boy with his mom carrying a copy around, I wonder if his mom let him buy it.

Monday, November 01, 2004

Sadly, I've noticed something.

I live in Virginia, and I'm in the bookstores once a week. And there's always a display of the America book, and I never see anybody buy it, or leaf through it. Well, this one time I saw a girl at the William And Mary bookstore leafing through it, and I told her that it was a really good book. But of course since I'm not a college student, she gave me a rude look. Is it just not selling well in Virginia? 'Guess so, because its a bestseller everywhere else.

This is so embarassing--every time I see a display of the book, I stare at it a little, and I have to remind myself that I already own a copy.
