Meet The Stupidest Daily Show Fan Today In Front Of The Clearance Books Section from 12:30-2:30.

I'm sure we've all read this already this week, blah, blah, blah yadda yadda, I don't give a shit, blah blah blah...

I'm so the outsider then, because I like Daily show and I:

  • Didn't start college until I was 20, and I only did one year of school before losing interest

  • I only had a 2.8 grade point average in high school (I couldn't even pass Algebra I, people.

  • I work at a grocery store and I only make about $7.00 an hour

  • Don't realy care for the interview portion of the show (like I've said a hundred times before, I'm more of a Jon/correspondents person)

  • Enjoy reading USA Today more than the paper my parents get.

  • Only watch CNN because Anderson Cooper is hot and Aaron Brown looks like Ed Helms' deadbeat dad.

  • Well, I don't really "hang" with the other TDS fans anyway, so...

    Joey Lawerene : MIA

Ed was quoted in an AP article about how guys are overgrooming their eyebrows:

And Then Jean Doumanian Will Get Fired

Tonight the Daily Show goes Live to cover the coverage of the first presidental debate.

Maybe if we're lucky Charlie Rocket will roll out in a wheelchair dressed like JR from Dallas [after being shot] and say "I'd like to know who the fuck did it"

COMEDY CENTRAL'S "THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART" GOES LIVE
ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 (ET) WITH
A SPECIAL "INDECISION 2004" EPISODE COVERING THE FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

NEW YORK, September 27, 2004 -- "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" will go live on Thursday, September 30 at 11:00 p.m. (ET) for a special "Indecision 2004" presentation entitled "The Bush-Kerry Debate: The Squabble in Coral Gables." The special will feature commentary and analysis from the first Presidential debate to be held earlier that night at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.
"Indecision 2004" comes to a close (we think) with another live episode as "The Daily Show" presents "Indecision 2004: Election Night" (working title), a special prime time edition of the show on Tuesday, November 2 from 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (ET) that will feature sporadically accurate and rarely fact-checked election results along with up-to-the-minute coverage from the "Daily Show News Team" including correspondents Samantha Bee, Stephen Colbert, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms and special contributor Lewis Black.
"The Daily Show" recently received two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a variety, Music or Comedy Program. This is the second year in a row that the series, which is enjoying record viewership levels in 2004, took home the best show Emmy and the third time (and second consecutive) that the Peabody Award-winning news satire was recognized in the writing category.
"Indecision 2004" marks the second presidential election covered by Stewart and his crack team of correspondents from "The Daily Show." The series earned its stripes during the now-infamous 2000 election, receiving an Emmy Award and a prestigious George Foster Peabody Award for its yearlong coverage of the race for the White House. Senator Bob Dole served as the series' Guest Political Commentator throughout that campaign.
"Indecision 2004" is sponsored by AOL, Bass, Cingular Wireless and Volkswagen.

End of line for 'Colin Quinn'?

I had to post it, come on its the show that comes on after TDS. Am I surprised? No. Am I excited at the prospect of seeeing Brian Unger on TV? Yes.

Production on Comedy Central series halted

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- The Comedy Central late-night series "Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn" has likely reached the end of its run.

Production on new episodes will be suspended when the series goes on a previously scheduled hiatus at the end of November. "The future of the show will be determined at that time," a spokesman for the channel said.

Sources indicate that network executives have been displeased with the ratings performance of "Quinn," a spirited roundtable discussion of current issues with host Colin Quinn and guest comedians.

"Quinn" has been holding onto only about half of the audience tuning in to its 11 p.m. lead-in, "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart." "Daily," which is red-hot as of late, coming off a pair of Emmy wins and record ratings during the political conventions, has averaged 1.1 million total viewers this year through September 9, while "Quinn" has averaged 537,000 by the same measure.

With "Daily" running hot, sources say Comedy Central is eager to find a more fitting companion piece for the series. Although rookie series "Crossballs" and "The Graham Norton Effect" both had recent test runs at 11:30 p.m., neither will likely inherit the time slot or even get a second season because of poor ratings.

Potential "Quinn" replacements are either of a pair of recent showbiz satires in the pilot stage at the network. One is from former "Daily" correspondent Brian Unger, while the other would be produced by David Spade and Hugh Fink with Pariah's Gavin Polone and Vivian Cannon.

"Quinn" joined Comedy Central's schedule in December 2002 with a two-week test run. The network brought it back permanently in March 2003 and has since aired more than 200 episodes Monday-Thursdays.

Images up from the Emmys the other night. You know, even if TDS has won in three of the four years they've been nomniated, I still act surprised when they win. For years I never thought that TDS would win an Emmy, I mean I always knew TDS was brilliant enough for an Emmy, but I always thought that TDS would always be this show that audiences loved but the Emmy voters didn't. (Isin't "Everybody Loves Raymond" in this category? I mean yeah, the actors of the show have won before, but the show has never won?)

And yeah, I'm still bitter over missing the Emmys last year due to Hurricane Isabel.

    Oh and don't forget!!

I've been slowly adding screen caps from this week's shows.

"September 2, 2004 -- THE mischievous magnets produced by Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" have created a sticky situation for the RNC. The "Make Your Own Headlines With the Daily Show Newsmaker" kits were banned from RNC gift bags because they included words like "tranvestite," "goat," "dances" and "dumb" as well as "Dubya," "Rumsfeld" and "Cheney." The RNC apparently feared the magnets could be used to poke fun at GOP leaders. Comedy Central produced more than 13,000 kits, which they still want to distribute this week. "We were surprised with the RNC's lack of humor," said a Comedy Central spokeswoman. "
